Everyone needs to add some color....
Welcome to the art webpage for Lebanon Catholic School. My name is Mrs. Stasny and I am honored to be the K-12 art teacher. I enjoy teaching your child how to appreciate and express themselves through art.
I try to incorporate all aspects of art in to the curriculum; history, studio, appreciation and criticisim.
"Let Your Art Be Your Journal..."
Art Room Rules:
- Respect.
Show respect for the teacher, your classmates, your artwork, and the art room materials. YOU are responsible for your work and supplies. Make sure it does not become lost, damaged or stolen. - Be Positive!
A positive outlook will carry you far. Remember what your mom always said, " If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all". - Safety.
Endangering the health, safety, or welfare of others or yourself through the misuse of art room materials will not be tolerated. - Leaving the room.
You must ask for permission AND sign-out before leaving the room. Do not forget to sign-in upon returning. - Talking.
If you have a question, comment, or concern, please raise your hand. During work periods, you are permitted to talk quietly with your classmates to share ideas and gather input. - Cell Phones.
I will take them the first time I see or hear them. This is your only warning. - Food, Drinks, and Gum.
NO. - Time Management.
You will need to utilize self-discipline during work sessions and keep yourself on task. Failure to use your time wisely will result in grading penalties in addition to disciplinary measures. If you did not complete at least 75% of your assignment in class, it will not be accepted for grading. - Cleaning Up.
Since this is a studio environment, we should all work together to clean-up, however, you are responsible for cleaning-up and putting away any and all materials you use. If you do not clean-up after yourself, your grade will reflect this lack of effort. I will announce when it is time to clean-up. If you wait until the last minute, I will not give you a pass. - Cheating.
You may never submit any other person’s artwork as your own. No one should touch your artwork or “help” by doing it for you.
